If i were Mariatu and i had my hangs cut off, then i would apply for the prothetic hands. I would because you use hands for a lot of basics necessities in life. For example trying to eat food would be really hard and something as simple as tying your shoes. Also i would feel really helpless and i would feel bad if i had to ask someone every time to do something for me. Also getting prothetic hands is probably not very painful and if i had the money then i would definitely apply for the hands. With the prothetic hands i would feel like such an outsider and i would be able to do things that other people were doing to.
If I were Mariatu, I would apply for prosthetic hands. I don't know how I would do all the things I do now without my hands. I would feel helpless and useless to myself and others. I would always need someone near me to help me do simply tasks like getting dressed and eating. I would also not be able to live alone, because I could not cook or clean. It might be hard at first, but with prosthetic hands, I would learn how to do everything I used to with real hands.
